Jalisco

Jalisco is located in central Western of Mexico and it’s capital city is Guadalajara. The state is well known for it’s natural resources and history, also many characteristics of mexican culture are from Jalisco, like mariachi, ranchera música, tequila and among other things. Economically it’s ranked in third place in the country and most industries are located in Guadalajara.
The state has a total área of 78,599 square kilometers, it’s bordering states are Nayarit, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi, Guanajuato, Colima and Michoacan, also it has a coastline in the west on the Pacifin Ocean.

Climate

Most of the state has a temperate climate with humid summers, in the north and northwest the climate is dry and in the center there is not type of climate that predominates.

Green:  Mild
Yellow: Semi-warm
Red: Warm 
Orange: Semi-dry

Tourism


The most important tourist areas in the state are Puerto Vallarta, the Guadalajara metro area, the Costalegre and Los Altos Regions, Lake Chapala and the Montaña Region. Puerto Vallarta is one of the most concurred places for the tourist around the world.

Culture


Many people say that Jalisco’s culture is a very important part of Mexico’s culture, the most important things are mariachis and it’s music which birthplace is Guadalajara, rodeos, dresses with wide skirts and decorated with ribbons, the wide brimmed sombrero hat, and tequila which birthplace is Tequila, Guadalajara.






Business

The capital city of Jalisco, Guadalajara, Is the second largest city in México and is the major Mexican business center. Guadalajara is commonly known as the Silicon Valley of México.
The most important activities in the service sector include entertainment, real state, temporary lodging, bank services, food and beverages. The industrial zone produces mainly textiles, footwear, food, beverages, rubber, plastics, furniture and pharmaceutical products. Since 2010, the investments in the state increase almost 3 million dollars and create over 50,000 jobs just in the metropolitan zone.
The state has an excellent terrestrial connection, with a network connection to all the country and to the US. The Miguel Hidalgo airport of Guadalajara has 193 national flights and 54 international flights per day.

Schools and Football

The state has 8 internationally known universities, like Autonomy University of Guadalajara and the Universidad of Guadalajara.
 Also Guadalajara is the home from the Chivas Football Club, one of the most popular teams in the country, and also has one of the most beautiful and moderns stadiums in all Latin America. Guadalajara also has another 4 important teams, Atlas, Estudiantes Tecos, Leones Negros and Jalisco Team. This city was considered for many years as the capital of football because they have the 5 teams in the top league in the same time.
